1. Leadership challenge - follow up
The opening hour of the day-long meeting was dedicated to reflecting on how we are putting into practice Model the way / Be an example. This time we shared how we are succeeding not only in being an example in leadership per se, but also in our walk with Christ.
2. Measuring success
Following on from 02_KAM Strategický plán KAM na období 2024-2026, we have agreed how we will measure success - how we will see that we are moving towards meeting the 2 main strategic objectives:
- Double the number of youth with whom KAM has a strong relationship,
- Double the number of youth moving to Phase 3-4 (mission orientation).
We will introduce you to our revised strategy for measuring success and getting feedback from our target group at the KAM Fall Conference in Kolin. There you will also learn what this will mean for you specifically.
3. Outreach programmes
- Due to Milan Szturc's sabbatical from September to November, we have agreed that during Milan's absence, Tomas Tousek will cover for him at the Leadership Team meetings, if needed.
- We approved the piloting of the Quest Club at the school in Opava.
- We opened the door for further discussions with ČCE Vsetín regarding the establishment of an EDGE club.
- We would also like to inform you that from September Worship.ko will be added to the Education area as a tool for training and development of worship leaders and groups.
4. Leader's Handbook
We have revised the original Leader's Ten Commandments, which we will present to KAM leaders as a Leader's Handbook at a meeting prior to the KAM Fall Conference. The Handbook summarizes the expectations we have of a person in the role of KAM leader, primarily in the values setting, but also in practical terms. In doing so, we emphasize the principle of Leadership over management and maintaining a human approach even in areas that require management.
5. Recruitment of new missionaries
Kaca summarized our current recruitment needs. We have newly added Renee Pospisilova to Worship.ko and Esther Lachman to The Chosen. And we will be talking to other interested people who are contacting us, among other things, following the newly formulated call on https://kam.cz/pridej-se-k-nam/, through which we are inviting young people to become missionaries in the Czech Republic.
6. Grant from Cornerstone
We have been thinking together about how to use the Cornerstone grant facilitated by JV in the future. This year we submitted an application to fund part of the 2025 Summit.
7. Autumn Conference
We look forward to seeing you at the KAM Autumn Conference in Kolin and thank the preparation team, this time led by Justin Holden, for their preparations. At the same time, we would like to encourage you to help the organizers of internal events for the next time by registering by the deadline. We have repeatedly failed to do this and it is not indicative of a good internal culture. Let's change this in the future.
