The turn of the year is usually a time of taking stock. Looking back over the past year as ExTeam, we feel that a lot of work has been done in many areas and we thank each of you for your commitment and contributions: https://kam.cz/looking-back-on-the-year-2022/. We met with the leaders of the various KAM services and areas in December and January for our annual review.

At the same time, we would like to challenge all of us at the beginning of the new year to look for ways to make all the different activities and areas of KAM's work even more interconnected and focused on our core mission of Preparing young leaders to fulfill Christ's mission through the local church.

A survey of high school students last year showed a fairly high openness among the younger generation to spiritual topics. We believe this opens the door for fulfilling KAM's mission. In 2023, we would like to do even more to help young leaders equip teenagers in Czech churches to share the Gospel, which corresponds to our theme for the 2022/23 school year, Missional Living as a Lifestyle.

To better align trainings, regions, and our outreach programs, KAM leaders met in Prague on January 11th to define the "backbone" that would connect the different areas of KAM ministry so that they would complement each other as we move young leaders and youth into the next stages of their development. The result should be empowered and motivated leaders and healthy and growing youth. We would like to share the results of this thinking with you during the KAM Conference in March.

In the coming period we have the following internal KAM events:

As part of our year-long theme, we want to focus the KAM Conference on the issue of building open youth communities. Please register by February 12th.

As the Conference approaches, we would like to invite those of you who are not yet members of KAM to consider voicing co-ownership of KAM's vision and co-responsibility for its future direction through this form. If you are interested, please complete this application and send it to kam@kam.cz. Members can send suggestions for Staff Representative for the next term to kam@kam.cz by February 12th; it is also possible to re-nominate those who have held such roles before.

During the KAM Conference, as usual, we as members of the ExTeam and Kača ( on behalf of HR) plan personal one-on-one meetings with you Kamáci at breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. There are still a few places left - you can also apply for an appointment yourself via Kača (hr@kam.cz).

Outgoing staff:

• At the end of 2022, Dan Pípal and Klara Břešt'áková finished their involvement with KAM.
  
• At the end of January, Tyrel Good will be stepping out of KAM. The farewell will take place during Good Morning Info.
  
• Šárka Húšťová also concluded her involvement with KAM.

Changes:

• Kuba Vejmělka is now Dominik Mendrek's new uplink.
• Lucka Mészáros has shifted to the Office team, specifically to HR. She is still involved in Staff Development. The Training Department will now focus only on external training - for youth/team leaders.
  
• Anezka Dietz has made her way to Lane 1.
  
• Jana Řezníčková has suspended her participation for the time being.

New staff:

• We welcomed Barca Hajdusova (Camps) at the December Good Morning Info.
